Ortiz out, Franklin in at UFC 115

With tickets going on sale this week for UFC 115, Dana White has confirmed that Tito Ortiz will not be fighting Chuck Liddell at UFC 115 in Vancouver, Canada. The UFC and Dana White were sticking with the original plan of Chuck vs. Tito, despite rumors of Tito getting hurt or sick during the taping of The Ultimate Fighter. With Liddell and Ortiz being the coaches and main draw of the show, Dana White didn't want to see ratings drop with news of Ortiz not fighting. However, with tickets going on sale this week the UFC had to let the cat out of the bag.

Stepping in for Ortiz will be former UFC middleweight champion, Rich "Ace" Franklin. Liddell vs. Franklin is a very exciting fight and probably more interesting than a third Liddell vs. Ortiz. Both Liddell and Franklin were dominate in their weight classes from 2004 to late 2006. They were the faces of the UFC at the time and could easily have met in a super fight. Despite Franklin and Liddell now being in the twilight of their careers, this should still be a very entertaining fight, between two UFC legends.
